Convert Sage Accpac data to Xero to deal with a US company acquisition

Request:

To migrate 7 years' worth of previous years data from Sage Accpac (US) to Xero (UK) for one UK entity following a US company acquisition. Every monthly trial balance had to match Sage Accpac.

How this was delivered:

The complete transaction data was exported from Sage Accpac and cleaned to make it compatible with Xero. After setting up the chart of accounts, the clean data was imported into Xero. Entering all journal entries and reconciling all transactions, including all bank reconciliations, came next. The monthly trial balances were checked and matched against the previous system. All accruals and tax were realigned for a UK entity. The financial year was then changed. The project was completed by setting up the company templates and automated recurring sales invoicing.

Outcome:

A complete accounts history of the acquired US company has been realigned for a UK entity.

Deliver a mobile, real-time, financial workflow and reduce monthly reporting time and cost

Request:

To remove the reliance on printouts, PDF's, spreadsheets and monthly financial presentations. Instead, the business requested to access their live financial data from Sage 50Cloud, on an app at all times.

How this was delivered:

At the time, there was no "off the shelf" product to deliver the needs of the business. Working with the developers at AccountingInsights, a custom software application was created to give the business the specific functionality they needed. The innovative integration was achieved using Accounting Insights Sage Connector, Sage 50Cloud and Microsoft Power BI.

Outcome:

Bespoke app delivered. Achieved ongoing, and considerable time and cost savings.

To give the business better access to a mission critical WIP report using Sage

Request:

To give the business better access to a mission critical WIP report using Sage.

How this was delivered:

By investigating the requirements of the business, a Sage 50Cloud solution which met their needs was proposed. The business had been using Sage 200 which was downgraded and the new version of the customisable WIP report was delivered.

Outcome:

The WIP report is now fit for purpose. A bonus of being able to downgrade Sage 200 to Sage 50Cloud, are ongoing cost savings.
